All About the Playhouse

Well, the Cumberland County Playhouse has announced it's 2006 season and I am so excited! The shows will be: The Fantasticks (Jan. 20-Apr. 5), Oklahoma! (Feb. 3-Mar. 12), Steel Magnolias (Feb. 17-June 7), Always... Patsy Cline (Mar. 10-Apr. 6), Smoke on the Mountain (Mar. 23-Oct. 24), The Battle of Shallowford (Apr. 14-July 16), Singin' in the Rain (June 16-Sept. 3), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (July 27-Nov. 4), A Homestead Album (Aug. 24-Sept. 24), Second Sons (Oct. 6-Nov. 7), A Sanders Family Christmas (Nov. 9-Dec. 16), The Nutcracker (Nov. 30-Dec. 10). Also, there will a production through Nov. 17-Dec. 17, but that will be announced in the summer (they're hinting at White Christmas, Meet John Doe, It's a Wonderful Life, or Seussical).

Looks like one hell of a season! Of course several are returning, Always... Patsy Cline (3rd year in a row), Smoke on the Mountain (I believe it's the 13th year in a row), Sanders Family Christmas (7th year in a row), and A Homestead Album returns from last year.

Well, I just welcomed a new member into my family. A beautiful female cat, Celia. She's about two years old. She's lived at the Playhouse for quite a while in the costume department (everybody knows Celia). They needed someone to take her and I volunteered. She's hiding under the bed right now. I'm going to slowly introduce her to her new environment.

That's all, folks!
