So, this morning I'm scanning the CNN.com headlines as I do everyday and one catches my eye. Apparently a woman was on a plane and she'd had a bit to drink, and had taken some medication. To top it off, she has a fear of flying. So, she decides she needs to go out for a smoke and makes her way to the door and attempts to open it. Okay... Just imagine the people around her. "Hey, Ed, I'm gonna go outside and have a smoke." Luckily, she didn't get the door opened. In the end, as I understood it, she was given a fine that she's have to pay if she was charged with anything else in a certain period of time. People, huh?
It's raining, it's raining! It's been raining pretty much all day here. A cold, cold rain. Bordering on sleet and heading toward snow. I'm not really in the mood for snow as I have a class tomorrow. Cold, cold.
As I said a couple of posts back, I went to church Sunday night with my aunt and some others to have a Thanksgiving meal, listen to a singing and a little preaching. It was nice. The people were very kind and everyone seemed real comfortable with each other. Anyway, while there, I kept making jokes with one of my aunt's friends (and one of mine, I suppose), and she asked, "Have you always been this funny?" I answered back by saying I just use what people give me. When volunteering at the theater where I used to work, the people I volunteered with said they loved working with me. It's all because the sense of humor. I am constantly making jokes and teasing. Humor is always in style. Making people laugh is a great feeling. And, it's nice that some people actually say nice things about me (always nice to get a compliment). Humor is a bit of a shield for me to hide behind, but I won't discuss that now since it may be an entire post in itself.
Currently reading Michael Crichton's State of Fear and really enjoying it (as I have all his books so far). Finished watching The Birdcage starring Robin Williams, Nathan Lane, Christine Baranski, Hank Azaria, Calista Flockhart, Dianne Wiest, Gene Hackman. With a cast like that how can it be bad? I loved it. Nathan Lane and Hank Azaria made this movie. I was really expecting Robin Williams to steal the show, but he didn't. It was all Lane and Azaria. I just kept waiting for them to be back on screen. Loved it.
And so it goes...
