Definitely.
I read your blog every day, and I have this to say...there is someone out there for everyone. Sure, it may seem that's not true, but I heard somewhere once that if you've exhausted all the fish in the pond that you're living in, find your way to another pond, or another lake, or another ocean. In other words, if you can't find someone here, maybe it's time to move on to a different city, town, state - maybe that person is waiting for you in Iowa instead of where you live. If you're lonely, get out and find someone to fill that space. Life is what you make it.
