*to a degree.
Let's talk about appearances, shall we? How important are they when it comes to a potential relationship? I, personally, have heard from several females that "looks don't matter." Mm-hm, yeah. I actually had one girl tell me she liked me, but she turned me down because she wanted to stay with the boyfriend who beat her. Okie dokie, then. That wasn't exactly a self-esteem booster. Anyway, I'm rambling, back to the point. Do looks matter?
Of course they do. Sexual attraction is as much a factor in a relationship as any other. It's just a part of nature. And, as such, I have a theory... on the nature of it, that is. I think unattractive people and unattractive people "click" and beautiful people and beautiful people "click." But, there is that rare combination of unattractive person/attractive person... I see this as a freak of nature. It's like when it rains frogs. I mean, it doesn't occur all the time, but it's been known to happen. Anyway, this theory comes from a male who has been rejected so often for so many inane reasons he may be slightly bitter.
I will make a bold admittance here... looks do matter to me. At least, to a degree. They are not the determining factor, but they do add highly to the attraction level. I guess each person has the little things they're attracted to. Some people are attracted to morbidly obese people, some to midgets, some are attracted to feet... yadda yadda yadda. I'm attracted to simple beauty. And here's another admittance that may get me in trouble with the male community: I find Cindy Crawford, Pamela Anderson, Kate Moss, Britney Spears, etc... very unattractive. I have no appeal for any of these so-called "beautiful" women or those like them. I don't believe you have to be outright blatantly sexy to be sexy (if that makes sense). In fact, you can overdo the sex appeal and quickly become tacky. That's just my opinion, though.
