The Power of Yourself

I finished Michael Connelly's The Poet. It was very interesting. I thought I could predict the ending twist, but another twist came along and surprised me. Next, I'm reading Debbie Macomber's 50 Harbor Street. I've read the first 4 and am excited to find out what happens with these characters I've come to know so well. Then, I'll be reading Hour Game by David Baldacci.

So, I'm still in the process of moving and getting closer and closer to being finished. Woohoo! Tomorrow I'm taking some more items over to the apartment and then I'm dropping by the phone company to take care of that. I feel good about finally taking this step. I'm finding out I'm stronger than I could have imagined.

I want to end this post with a quote from the last episode of the TV series, Roseanne. I love this show for its uniqueness and straightforwardness. It ended with one of the greatest TV series endings ever. Roseanne really had some great insights in her final monologue (which she wrote):

"But the more I wrote, the more I understood myself and why I made the choices I made and that was the real jackpot. I learned that dreams don't work without action. I learned that no one can stop me, but me. I learned that love is stronger than hate. And most important I learned that God does exist and he and/or she is right inside you. Underneath the pain, the sorrow and the shame."
