Blogs, Relationships, News Bits, eBay & Henry Ford

Okay, so I'm surfing blogs right... trying to find that ever elusive blog with some insightful comments within and not entirely rambling of "what I did today" which is basically just a diary and not my thing. I come across this website with a little banner in the upper right corner saying "Impeach Bush!" -- too good to pass up... I knew I must have it for this blog and in the upper right corner of this blog I am proud to show my support for the Impeach Bush Coalition!!

On a more serious note, my relationship with Jessica is still going well. We talk online just about every night and I'm completely smitten. I really could care less if it becomes a dating relationship or stays friendship... she's a truly honest person with a wonderful, caring heart who makes me smile, all rare things in my experience. She just got kicked out of nursing school (she needed an average of 70, got 69), so I spent a while comforting her; it wasn't hard, I really did feel bad for her... it was obvious how much it meant to her. Anyway, she seems to be doing pretty good now. I've given her a "standing offer" that anytime she wants to come up to the theater here I'll get tickets for her and take her to one of the nice Italian restaurants in town (we're both Italians at heart, I believe).

As you know, I like to keep somewhat in touch with what is going on in the news, but not much has really caught my eye as all that different or appalling. There was the former FEMA guy who had all those flippant e-mails he wrote released and I read most of those and was a bit disgusted. Also, there is the case of bone fragments being found in a salvage yard owned by a man who was released from prison in 2003 after being cleared of a rape by DNA. They also found the woman's SUV key in his room... I mean, come on! How stupid do you have to be to spend 18 years in prison, get out thanks to DNA and a miracle and then end up in the same predicament. Apparently learning lessons isn't for everyone. And then there's Pat Robertson's latest comments which I won't even go into out of fear of losing my cool.

My eBay auctions end tomorrow and it looks like I didn't do too bad. There's a bidding war going on with two of my items! Yay!

I'll end with a quote from Henry Ford: "Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is the probable reason why so few engage in it."
