Well, I've got to say I was very saddened when I went to CNN.com and saw the picture of Rosa Parks and the headline, "Rosa Parks Dies at 92." I remember reading quite a while ago how she was suffering from demensia. I think she was a very great woman and one who will definitely be missed by many. She made a difference with her life, and I think that means a lot. She will not be forgotten.
I'm currently working my way through Stephen King's Rose Madder... having a hard time getting into it because my classes are at a particularly busy week, but it's definitely a very emotionally driven book. I'm on page 84 or somewhere thereabouts, but I like what I've read so far. King rarely lets me down.
The girl I'm talking to on the Internet now (I downloaded Yahoo Messenger just to be able to chat with her) is named Jessica. I don't want to say anymore at the moment out of fear of jinxing it, but she is a very sweet person and I think this may actually lead to something. YAY me!!
Some recent headline from CNN.com include Sesame Street's Elmo being arrested. Apparently a man dressed as Elmo (there were 2 other people dressed as other characters) was arrested for harassing people for tips after having photos taken. The funniest thing is the article begins: "Elmo, the red and cuddly Muppet from Sesame Street, has learned a new lesson: 'H' is for handcuffs." Poor Elmo -- I wonder what Big Bird's going to say? But, there is good news, another article says if George W. Bush were to run for president today, he would lose. Well, I guess that makes his presidency a little bit easier to take.
