Just Another Wednesday

Well, there is good news coming out of New Orleans, little by little. The police force are back in action and FEMA is giving victims credit cards worth $2,000. It'll be slow going for a long time (they're saying months, maybe a year or more).

I went out and ran errands today. While at the post office, an older woman in front of me walked up to the door reached for the handle, stopped, and then stood there waiting until I approached and opened the door. I noticed she had a thing about germs because of the way she was acting. Anyway, that was the most interesting part of my day so far. Hey, look at me, having a normal, boring day, just like the majority of humanity. Woohoo. I'm average!

I watched an episode of Rodney last night on ABC and thought for sure this had to be a new series since the acting was so stilted, but, alas, no. I was surprised to find this episode was toward the end of their first season (episode 21). It seemed the show was trying to be something it wasn't. It seemed like a sort of Roseanne/The Jeff Foxworthy Show/Home Improvement blob. The cast left a lot to be desired.

I'm reading Richard Matheson's Hell House right now and I would say more about it, but I have to go. So, without further ado I now return you to your previously scheduled day.
